Kingston Modified Girls Soccer Team Get Tough
September 7, 2006 - On Friday the Kingston Modified Girls Soccer Team played a tough game against Middletown. During the first half Kingston scored a goal making the game 1-0. But Middletown, desperate to win, got a goal in the second half tying the game. Both teams were trying very hard to get a goal but were not successful. Then the teams went into two four minute overtime periods.
In the first period a goal was scored on Middletown, but it happened 2 seconds after the period was over. The ref counted it as no goal. Then the same thing happened to Middletown in the second period but the time was 2.2 seconds over the four minute period. The game ended in a tie of 1-1.
If you talk to anyone on the Girls Soccer Team they will probably tell you they won by .2 seconds. Now all they have to do is get ready for their next game against Middletown so they can get the win back!
